Manfred has made a life for himself with love dolls Luise and Josepha. Away from the goings on of society, in the highrise flat where he grew up, he has shut himself away together with his dolls. Until one day he decides it’s time for them to meet the one real person in his life, his mother who lives in a retirement home. The decision to let his mother in on the secrets of his unusual life, is a first step towards emancipation from the life-long influence of a dominant maternal force.
