We are extremely excited to announce that our film “Teaches of Peaches ” will celebrate its world premiere at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival in the Panorama section.

We, Philipp Fussenegger (director) and Judy Landkammer (editor), have been working together for almost a decade and are now appearing for the first time as a creative directing duo for ” Teaches Of Peaches “. However, our film is much more than just a documentary; it is a loving tribute to an outstanding artist and personality. It tells the story of how Merrill Nisker became the queer icon Peaches and how she has remained true to herself along the way.

The film was produced by Cordula Kablitz-Post in collaboration with avanti media fiction. The camera work was directed by Dino Osmanovic, while the dramaturgy was created by Susanne Heuer, supported by producer and production manager Robert Kreuzaler.

In addition to Peaches, the film also features performances by Black Cracker, Leslie Feist, Chilly Gonzales, Shirley Manson, Charlie Le Mindu and many others.
Peaches, as a feminist musician, producer, director and performance artist, has dedicated over two decades to fighting gender stereotypes and cementing her status as a pop and music industry icon. Her fearless originality challenges social norms, shattering stereotypes and patriarchal power structures. With biting humor and sharp wit, she champions LGBTQIA+ rights and brings issues of gender and sexual identity into focus while leaving a lasting mark on pop culture.
